Lord Stanhope's Improper Proposal - The story was well written and the story line easy to follow. The author drew the reader in and allowed us to experience her characters many emotions. The story had intrigue, suspense, betrayal, violence, a curse(not), mayhem, romance, and steaming sexual parts.
Lady Featherstone's Fervent Affair - The story was well written and the story line was easy to follow. The author drew the reader in and allowed us experience the many emotions of her characters. The story had intrigue, suspense, determination, a curse(not), pain (physical/mental), romance, surprises, and steaming sexual parts.
Miss Darling's Indecent Offer - The story was well written and the author drew the reader in and allowed us to experience her characters many emotions. The story had intrigue, suspense, mayhem, danger, violence, curse(not), romance, and steaming sexual parts.
The Bastard's Passion Prize - Although it was well written and the story line easy to follow it was not a story I would have read. Again as always the author drew the reader in and allowed us to experience her characters many emotions. The story had intrigue, suspense, adventure, danger, violence, romance, and steaming sexual parts.
I was glad to see a story for the brothers and learn the truth of the curse.

The Stanhope Challenge A Regency Quartet edition by Cerise DeLand Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I loved the open dialogue. Wish everyone would write like this. Because of the openness of all her character's in all 4 book's, well written, 🔥 and make you want to be in those sences. Matter fact i have buy all these books in paperback. Enjoy!!
I was disappointed, but I still read all 4 of these stories. The stories start out strong, but just limp along the finish line by the forth. The theme of each story was solid and enjoyable to read, but some of the love scenes were a little rough to me and showed a lack of respect to the heroines. The characters all had purpose, using a family curse to justify their actions. I rate books by "would I want to re-read?" - No, once was okay.
A lot of the reviews here are misleading. Yes, there seems to be more smut than plot, but that's probably what some readers prefer. Yes, I wished for more action and more plot, but it's not badly written and actually quite enjoyable at times.
I like the way Mrs. Cerice makes her female characters force situations to get what they want and what they want are handsome and brave rakes and lots of sex with them.
The different adventures and situations each book presented to the reader by the writer are interesting, specially for the era she plays the stories.
Overall I enjoyed reading these books
From beginning to end this was an adventure!!! From ballroom in England, to harem in Ottoman pirate town....Mark Stanhope had to stay on his toes.....to save the woman he loved from the moment he saw her. Serena Maxwell wanted two things Freedom, and the man she loved. Running away from her father to gain her freedom she hides on the clipper ship of the man she loves. Can he love her in turn? Will he help her obtain her freedom? Read the book and you will be enthralled with every page!!!
The Stanhope Challenge is a four book set about four men who believe they are cursed to be miserable if they get married. Needless t say, they all succumb to a lady who possesses all the charms the specific male desires. The various ways that the men and their brides meet and marry are well plotted, often incorporating regular humorous characters to lighten the often intense romance.
I do feel I should issue a warning regarding the very explicit sex scenes in these books that even though I read of lot of romance I found that these sex scenes embarrassed even an old nurse like me. Laueyt
Great value and four really good stories

I really like the four brothers and their stories of challenging the family curse to find love. When traditions says that no Stanhope had a chance of ever achieving a happy marriage and stabile life, the brothers have all decided they will never marry and they will break the curse. Unfortunately, their vows are short lived when faced with 4 equally tenacious ladies of the ton who are their matches and better.

Each is a full length story and each is a fun, wonderful and very intriguing read. It is time that will make you glad you read the stories and very satisfied with all the tales all the characters and all the twists and turns it takes to bring love to the Stanhope men.
